S.U.G.A.R. is a registered Not-for Profit Charity in Canada for Canadians.It is based in Burlington ON at 1235 Fairview Street Unit #161. This charity is determined to a healthy and vital community in which all diabetics have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life.SUGAR is abbreviated as Support Unlimited Guaranteed for Appliances Required, Assistance for Diabetic Devices. It actively serves the people of Canada by bestowing diabetic devices and or diabetic needs to individuals who are unable to afford or acquire them thus enhancing the quality of life they deserve if they are rich.
This organisation provides help by:

๏Assessing and responding to a comprehensive, detailed application form outlining medical history which includes detailed family financial information and detailed family medical information.
๏ Participating in fundraising activities where appropriate and
๏ Building awareness of our program.
๏ Review and expand program where and when necessary.
๏ Encouraging past recipients to become involved.
๏ Expanding and upgrading our program to meed the needs of the cummunity based on quarterly and yearly reviews of the needs of the applicants and products needed for the for the applicants.

S.U.G.A.R. Works towards getting diabetic needs covered through advocacy and government lobbying. It collects used pump donations for recycling and pump supply donations to be distributed to those in need.
It does not pay outstanding medical invoices due to legal restrictions.
It works with individuals who require unique resolutions to their diabetic supply needs.
Scotia Trust , Sanofi-Aventis and Medtronic Diabetes Canada and Animas( a division of Lifescan Canada) provide generous support to the SUGAR programs
All assistance through S.U.G.A.R. requires a completed Application form.
